Dragons in the Snow
With rustling, rumbling, the dragon came
To melt, to mutilate, dismember, maim.
Its wings, a wonder, unfurled, woe!
Its flame, fox fire, come to claim
Our lives, our families; our guards gone lame,
But then the dogs, our trappers and hunters,
Returned before we fell asunder
With arrows nocked, axes arced,
The serpent slain, with snowy spear and wicked flame,
Fire, it’s fuel, turned fuse;
They ended its reign.
